Dear One, let my presence
be a pillow
to rest your sad head upon.

Remain awhile
in the dark
of this silent love.

Dream of your Friend and you
at play again.

See yourself, a child
riding drops of rain,
rushing down to see
who can make
the biggest splash.

Circle the moon
until you're dizzy and swaying,
then return renewed
to this place.

Yes, rest beside me
find solace in my silence
and wake up ready to exclaim

"Welcome!"
to life again.
